Easy Sharing is a delivery service from the Edinburgh Tool Library.
The delivery service will run once a week during the summer of 2019 in the West of Edinburgh. It’s designed for people who can’t easily get to the main pick-up points in Leith and Portobello.
To use Easy Sharing, you need to be able to pick up what you borrow from one of four pickup locations. The pick-up locations are WHALE Arts in Wester Hailes, the Broomhouse Centre, the Community Shed at North Edinburgh Arts, and granton:hub in Madelvic House. You also return what you borrow to one of the pickup locations.
Easy Sharing is free — you get a free membership of the Edinburgh Tool Library. When you become a member, you need to bring photo ID and an official letter with your current address on it.
The Tool Library has an online catalogue of over 2000 tools (mostly for DIY and gardening). Easy Sharing lets you log in, reserve tools, and have them delivered to the pick-up location of your choice.
